What to do with Your New or Updated

CTC Network Floating License Server License File

Now that you have received your new or updated CTC network floating license server license file, this is what needs to

be done:

1) Copy the license file to the computer on which the floating license server software has been installed. The

default folder is usually:

C:\Program Files\CTC Software\CTC Network License Server (64-bit)

NOTE: Some versions use -- C:\Program Files\CAD Technology Center\CTC Network License Server (64-bit)

Just overwrite any old license file with the new license file, as you should only have 1 license file from CTC.

2) Restart the license server, at least for the “ctc_inc” ISV. The easiest way to do this is to use the license

manager web site, which is running on the license server computer. For example (use your own license server’s

computer name):

If you then click on the “Status” button (shown above) at the very least you should see a “ctc_inc” entry at the

bottom of the main window:

3) Verify (or have your IT people verify) that the following firewall TCP ports are not blocked, either on the license

server computer, on the workstations, or any paths between the workstations and license server:
